European AI/ML Conference CFPs Open as of September 2026

Only a handful of European AI/ML CFPs are genuinely open right now — ML Prague 2027 workshops, ESANN 2027, and two Balkan/Baltic data conferences with unstated deadlines — because most 2026 editions closed months ago and the 2027 wave hasn't opened yet.

TL;DR. The European AI/ML CFP calendar is unusually quiet in late September 2026: most spring/summer 2026 editions (AI Engineer Paris, AI Horizons Prague, NDC Oslo/Porto, Devoxx Belgium, Techorama, PyData*, Berlin Buzzwords, Craft, RAISE Summit) closed their CFPs weeks to months ago, and the 2027 wave is only just starting to open. Submit first to Machine Learning Prague 2027 workshops (closes 15 Oct 2026) [5] — the nearest hard deadline — then watch FOSDEM 2027 (Brussels, rail-reachable, devroom CFPs open late October) [25] and ESANN 2027 (Bruges, academic, closes 18 Nov 2026) [9] for the next real windows.

Open now

Sorted by deadline ascending. Two rows have no published deadline — the CFP page is live and accepting submissions, but the organizers don’t state a cutoff, so treat them as “submit soon, first-come.”

Conference Dates & City CFP deadline CFP link Compensation Formats Platform Fit
Machine Learning Prague 2027 — Workshops 3–5 May 2027, Prague, Czechia 15 Oct 2026 (tz not stated), notified by 31 Oct [5] Call for proposals Free ticket + VIP speaker dinner; travel/lodging not covered [5] 3-hour hands-on workshop/tutorial [5] Custom (site form) Strong for a hands-on “AI-assisted TDD” or “RAG pipelines” workshop; talk CFP link also live on the same page [4]
ESANN 2027 21–23 Apr 2027, Bruges, Belgium 18 Nov 2026 (tz not stated) [9] esann.org Not stated Full academic paper, single track, ~100 speakers [9] Custom (paper submission system) Academic peer-reviewed venue, not a pitch-a-talk CFP — needs a written paper, not a slide deck. Very rail-reachable from Ghent, but wrong format for a practitioner talk unless co-authoring a paper
Big Data Conference Europe 2026 24–27 Nov 2026, Vilnius, Lithuania + online Not stated — page live, no cutoff published [6] CFP page Complimentary registration; travel/lodging not mentioned [6] 45-min talk, panel, full-day workshop, track hosting [6] Airtable form Broad big-data/AI/cloud audience; good fit for RAG, evals, or coding-agent comparison talks
DSC Europe 2026 23–27 Nov 2026, Belgrade, Serbia Not stated — Call for Speakers link live, no cutoff published [7] Google Form Not stated Not stated Google Form Large (3,500+ attendee) “AI builders” event; ambiguous enough that it’s worth a direct email to confirm the window before investing prep time

Opening soon / expected

CFPs that either have a near-term deadline for a different call type, or historically open in the next ~8–12 weeks based on prior-year timing. None of these are confirmed open for individual talk submissions yet.

  • FOSDEM 2027 — 30–31 Jan 2027, Brussels [26]. Devroom-organizer proposals close 4 Oct 2026; once devrooms are selected, each runs its own talk CFP, typically opening in late October [25]. No AI/ML devroom confirmed yet for 2027 — check back after the devroom list lands. Best rail option from Ghent of anything on this list.
  • Techorama (Belgium/Netherlands, AI builders track) — 2026 CFP closed 30 Jan 2026 [14]; on that cadence, a 2027 CFP would likely open around Nov–Dec 2026.
  • WeAreDevelopers World Congress 2027 — 14–16 Jul 2027, Berlin. FAQ confirms no CFP details are published yet; 2026’s Europe CFP opened well ahead of its July date, so expect an announcement in the coming months [29].
  • MLcon (dpunkt/S&S Media — Berlin, Munich, Amsterdam, London editions) — shared submission portal is live but no deadline is published for a specific European 2026/2027 edition; worth a direct check on callforpapers.sandsmedia.com [28].

Notable 2026/2027 European editions whose CFP has already passed, so they don’t need re-checking before their next cycle.

Uncertain / no public process found: GOTO Copenhagen 2026 shows no open call-for-speakers page — likely curated, contact organizers directly [12]. AI & Big Data Expo Europe 2026 (Amsterdam, 20–21 Oct) publishes a speaker roster but no CFP form was found — event is only a month out, so the program is probably locked [27].

Notes for the profile

  • Nothing here is Angular/React/.NET-specific — that’s expected, this angle only covers AI/ML/AI-assisted-dev venues. Cross-check the parallel .NET, frontend, and Benelux research folders in this run for stack-specific CFPs (e.g. Devoxx Belgium, Techorama) that overlap with AI content.
  • The two “not stated” deadlines (Big Data Conference Europe, DSC Europe) are large practitioner conferences with a track record of running yearly — worth a direct email rather than waiting for a published cutoff, since ambiguous-deadline CFPs often run on rolling review.
  • ESANN is the only academic venue on this list with a genuinely open window; it requires a written, reviewed paper rather than a talk pitch — factor in prep time accordingly if pursuing it.
