TL;DR — Submit to VisugXL 2026 first: it’s 20 minutes from Ghent, closes soonest (30 Sep 2026), and covers AI/architecture topics squarely in your wheelhouse [1]. Right behind it, .NET Conf 2026 Community Days is a zero-travel virtual shot at global reach (closes 6 Oct) [3], and .NET Conference 2026 Milan closes 24 Oct [7]. The rest of the marquee European .NET circuit — Techorama, both current NDC editions, DDC Cologne, BASTA! Mainz, Update Conference Prague, ESPC — has already closed its next CFP; don’t waste time re-checking those, see the closed list below.

Sorted by deadline, soonest first.
| Conference | Dates & location | CFP deadline | Submit | Compensation | Formats | Platform | Fit |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| VisugXL 2026 | 17 Nov 2026 · Sint-Katelijne-Waver, BE | 30 Sep 2026, 23:59 CEST [1] | Sessionize | Free event for speakers; no honorarium/travel stated; prefers BE/nearby speakers [1] | 60-min sessions [1] | Sessionize | Home-turf, MVP-run community event; topics explicitly include .NET/C#/Azure/AI/architecture — an easy first submission [1][2] |
| .NET Conf 2026 Community Days | Community Days 12–13 Nov 2026 · Virtual/global | 6 Oct 2026, 23:59 PDT (≈08:59 CEST 7 Oct) [3] | Sessionize | Not stated (virtual, no travel involved) [4] | 30-min talks; max 1 session/speaker [4] | Sessionize | Microsoft’s own event — huge exposure, zero travel; strong angle for AI-assisted .NET dev content [4] |
| NDC Security Oslo 2027 | 15–18 Feb 2027 · Oslo, NO | 18 Oct 2026, 23:59 CEST [6] | Sessionize | Not stated on this CFP page (other NDC events cover travel/hotel for non-locals) [5] | 60-min talks, 10-min lightning, 60–120-min & 2-day workshops [5] | Sessionize | Niche fit — pitch secure/AI-assisted coding, threat modeling for .NET, or supply-chain security rather than general .NET content [5] |
| .NET Conference 2026 (Milan) | 4 Dec 2026 · Milan, IT | 24 Oct 2026, 23:59 CEST [7] | Sessionize | Not stated [7] | Not specified on the CFP page [7] | Sessionize | Mostly-Italian community day with English sessions accepted; good if you’re open to a longer trip (rail via Milan is ~11-14h from Ghent, or fly) [8] |
| WeAreDevelopers World Congress 2027 | 14–16 Jul 2027 · Berlin, DE | Rolling — no fixed date, reviewed until slots fill [9] | Sessionize (via site) | Full conference pass, speaker lounge, reception access; no travel/honorarium stated [9] | Not detailed on the rolling-submission page [9] | Sessionize | 15,000-attendee general dev/AI congress — not .NET-specific, but its “agentic systems in production” and AI-craft tracks are a strong match for your Claude Code/MCP/agents catalog [9] |
Deadlines are as posted on each event’s own Sessionize/CFP page at time of writing — always re-verify the exact time before the last day, since some events (VisugXL, NDC) quote local time while others (.NET Conf) quote US Pacific time.
Opening soon / expected
Not open yet, but worth a calendar reminder over the next 8–10 weeks.
- Techorama Belgium 2027 — no 2027 dates or CFP posted yet as of 20 Sep 2026 [10]; historically the CFP for the May edition opens around November of the prior year [11]. Watch techorama.be closely from late October.
- BASTA! Frankfurt 2027 (1–5 Mar 2027, Frankfurt) — dates confirmed, site only says “Stay Tuned” for the CFP [12]. Given the March event date, a CFP opening in Oct–Dec 2026 (mirroring past BASTA! cadence) is plausible but not confirmed.
- Update Conference Krakow 2027 (2–3 Jun 2027, Kraków) — confirmed on the .NET conference aggregator but no CFP page live yet [14].
- Global Azure 2027 — no central CFP: Global Azure is a federation of locally-organized one-day events (April, typically). Each city chapter (Belgium, Netherlands, etc.) runs its own informal call, usually opening Jan–Mar. The central site’s programme content did not render fully at time of check, so treat this entry as ambiguous until a local chapter page is confirmed [13].
- NDC Copenhagen 2027 — no 2027 edition or CFP posted yet; the 2026 edition (already concluded) closed its CFP 1 Feb 2026 [15].

Note on scope: NDC Sydney and other non-European NDC editions, and Microsoft 365 Community Conference (Las Vegas), are excluded — Europe-only per the brief. DotNext (historically Moscow-based) is omitted given the practical travel/visa reality for a Belgium-based speaker.
