Decision. Anchor a Paris tech weekend on VivaTech, Jun 17–20 — Europe’s biggest tech & startup show at Porte de Versailles [1] [2]. If you want depth instead of scale, pick Devoxx France, Apr 22–24 at Palais des Congrès — 240 talks, ~4,600 devs [3] [4]. For the May 28–31 weekend specifically, there is no headline conference on; bridge the gap with AI Tinkerers Paris evenings or Station F’s rolling event programme [21] [26].

This weekend (May 28–31, 2026)

No headline conference falls on this weekend. The fillers are community-grade, not destination-grade:

  • Station F runs its rolling event calendar across the campus’s Open Platform, Google Office, Junior Stage and Central Room — evenings on May 27-28 and Jun 1-2 are visible on the public schedule [26].
  • AI Tinkerers Paris ran Conversational DevOps & AI Infrastructure on May 21 — next sessions land roughly monthly, demo-only format, free, technical screening [21].

If the weekend is flexible, the obvious pivot is +3 weeks to VivaTech (Jun 17-20) [1].

The two headliners

  • VivaTech — Jun 17–20 at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles. 10th anniversary edition [25]. Founders, corporates, investors, public sector all on one floor — closer to a trade-show-meets-keynote-festival than a developer conference. The reason to go is the floor and the after-hours; not the talks. Best paired with a Michelin dinner because the show ends early enough most evenings [1].
  • Devoxx France — Apr 22–24 at Palais des Congrès Porte Maillot. 14th edition, 240 talks, ~4,600 attendees, French and English [3] [4]. The seriously-technical alternative to VivaTech — Java leans heaviest but every stack shows up. Hotels near Porte Maillot fill fast.

Specialist deep-dives (the rest of the year)

Single-day or two-day events, smaller venues, sharper focus — these are where you go to learn, not to network.

  • dotAI (Sep 17) + dotJS (Sep 18) — back-to-back single-track conferences at the Folies Bergère theatre. Curated speaker line-up, no parallel tracks, expensive but legendary among European developers [11] [12] [13].
  • Big Data & AI Paris (Sep 15–16) — enterprise-data show at Porte de Versailles. 2026 edition repositions on large-org decision-makers; ~15,000 visitors, 180 exhibitors [14] [15]. Pairs naturally with the dotAI/dotJS week immediately after.
  • Paris Blockchain Week (Apr 15–16) — at Carrousel du Louvre, opening VIP dinner at Château de Versailles on Apr 14 [9] [10]. 2026 positioning is institutions × digital assets, not retail crypto.
  • Tech Show Paris (Nov 18–19) — Closer Still’s bundle of five expos under one badge: Cloud Expo Europe, Cloud & Cyber Security Expo, Data & AI Leaders Summit, Data Centre World, DevOps Live [18]. Vendor-heavy floor, decision-maker audience [17].
  • apidays Paris (Dec 1–3) — 2026 theme is the sovereign autonomous API stack — on-prem agentic AI, EU data residency, operational continuity. Same week as the Hacking APIs sister conference [16].
  • React Paris (Mar 26–27) — 3rd edition, hybrid (Pullman Montparnasse + online), ~40 speakers, React Server Components / AI / Remix / Typescript [7] [8].
  • AndroidMakers (Apr 9–10) — community-built, droidcon family, held at Beffroi de Montrouge [5] [6].
  • GOSIM Paris (May 4–6) — Station F, open-source × agentic-AI, workshops + hackathons + demos [22].
  • Paris Web (Sep 24–26) — long-running French web/a11y/quality conference at INSEP; two conference days plus workshops [19] [20].
  • ai-PULSE (Oct 13) — one-day AI conference at Station F focused on research + product demos [23].
  • leHACK (Jun 26–28) — Cité des Sciences. France’s main offensive-security conference (continuation of Hack in Paris), 24-hour CTF, listed by France’s national cybersecurity agency ANSSI [27] [28].
