Book in this order

1
Lock the restaurant reservation
3-star slots open 30–60 days ahead on Resy or Tock and fill within hours. Exception: Sushi Sho releases seats on the 1st of each month for exactly 2 months out — set an alarm at 9 am.[4] Do not book flights first.
2
Book flights + hotel around the reservation date
Let the restaurant neighborhood anchor your hotel. Avoid the Jun 26–28 frame if budget-sensitive — hotel rates peak citywide for Pride. Weekend 3 (Jun 19–21) has the lowest pressure in June.
3
Register for a tech event if combining trips
AWS Summit NYC (Jun 17 Wed, free, 200+ sessions)[5] pairs well with Weekend 3: do the conference Wed, recover Thu–Fri, clean weekend. NYC Tech Week (Jun 1–7, mostly free)[6] overlaps Weekend 1 but raises hotel rates.
4
Score Broadway tickets
Digital lottery via Broadway Direct or Telecharge ($40–60). Same-day: TKTS at Times Square — up to 50% off, +$7 fee; closed Tuesdays.[7] 2026 Tony leaders: The Lost Boys, Cats: The Jellicle Ball, Titanique.
5
Time your museum visits for free windows
MoMA free Fri 5:30–8:30 pm (NY residents, reserve ahead).[8] Whitney free every Fri 5–10 pm.[9] MoMA PS1 is free for all visitors (since Jan 2026, NYC's largest free museum).[10]
