TL;DR / Plan: As of June 3, 2026, the upcoming Beijing tech anchors are BCS (cybersecurity, ~June [1]), GDEC (digital economy, Jul 2 [2]), Community Over Code Asia (Apache open source, Aug 7-9 [4]), ISC.AI (AI security, Aug TBC [7]), World Humanoid Robot Games (Aug 22-26 [8]), and COSCon (open source, Dec TBC [10]). The densest cluster — ZGC Forum, InfoComm China, CHITEC — runs March–May and has already passed for 2026 but repeats annually.

BCS 2026 — Beijing Cyber Security Conference

Annual international cybersecurity summit hosted by QI-ANXIN, co-sponsored by China Electronics Corporation and the Internet Society of China [1]. The 2024 edition (Jun 5-6) ran the theme “AI ∞ Cybersecurity” with 2 summits, 21 forums, ~500 expert speakers, and 2,000+ participating organizations. Exact 2026 dates not yet published — monitor bcs.qianxin.com directly.

Audience: Enterprise security practitioners, government cybersecurity staff, product security engineers.

GDEC 2026 — Global Digital Economy Conference

Opening ceremony July 2 at the Beijing National Convention Center [2]. Sixth annual edition themed “Building a Digital-Friendly City — Inclusive Intelligence, Borderless Connectivity” [3]. Structure: one opening ceremony + six main forums + ~50 thematic breakouts (“1+6+N”). Main forums cover AI integration, data elements, digital security, digital finance, digital health, and digital governance. International satellite event ran in Geneva (Mar 31) ahead of the main Beijing gathering.

Audience: Digital economy executives, government policy teams, AI product and data teams.

Community Over Code Asia 2026

The Apache Software Foundation’s Asia flagship (formerly ApacheCon Asia), August 7-9 at the Zhongguancun National Innovation Demonstration Zone Conference Center [4]. Nineteen technical tracks: AI, cloud-native, big data, streaming, FinTech, IoT, messaging, search, security, web frameworks, and open-source governance [5]. Presentations accepted in English or Chinese; vendor-neutral environment.

Audience: Apache committers and contributors, open-source engineering leads, cloud-native practitioners.

ISC.AI 2026 — Internet Security Conference

360 Security’s annual AI-security summit, historically held at the Beijing National Convention Center in August [7]. Fourteenth edition in 2026. The 2025 edition (13th) was themed “All In Agent”, focusing on AI agent security [6]. Cumulative 200,000+ past attendees from 30+ countries. Dates TBC — watch isc.360.com.

Audience: Security researchers, red/blue team practitioners, AI security engineers.

2nd World Humanoid Robot Games

August 22-26 at the National Speed Skating Oval (“Ice Ribbon”) [8]. Over 30 competitive events across nine disciplines: athletics, football, gymnastics, weightlifting, martial arts, street dance, sport dance, tug-of-war, and pitch-pot [9]. Not a conference, but the world’s leading live showcase of embodied-AI hardware from Chinese and international robotics labs.

Audience: Robotics engineers, embodied-AI researchers, hardware investors.

COSCon 2026 — China Open Source Conference

Kaiyuanshe’s annual open-source community conference [10], December 2026 (exact date TBC; the 2025 edition ran Dec 6-7 at Park Plaza Beijing Science Park). The 2025 edition drew 1,500+ attendees including international guests from OSI, OpenChain, and OpenUK [11] — the largest international participation to date.

Audience: Open-source developers, community organizers, maintainers, students.


Already Past in 2026 (Annual — Returns 2027)

Zhongguancun Forum

Beijing’s flagship government-backed science-and-tech summit, founded 2007. The 2026 edition ran March 25-29 [12], organized by the Ministry of Science and Technology, NDRC, and MIIT [13]. Theme: “Full Integration Between Technological and Industrial Innovation”. 1,000+ guests from 100+ countries, 100+ events including plenary sessions, the ZGC International Technology Trade Fair, and an innovation competition [14]. Frontier focus areas: 6G, brain-computer interfaces, cell and gene therapy.

International Sci-Fi & Future Tech Expo Beijing

March 27-29 at Shougang Park (Shijingshan) [15], running concurrently with ZGC Forum and the 10th China Science Fiction Convention. 10,000 sqm; 100+ Chinese and international brands showcasing future-tech hardware and the sci-fi industry chain [16].

CICNA 2026 — China Intelligent Cloud-Network & AI-Native Summit

April 15-16, Four Points by Sheraton Beijing Haidian Hotel [17]. Fifteenth edition; evolved from the China SDN/NFV Conference. Theme: “From Cloud-Native to AI-Native”. Topics: autonomous “Observe-Reason-Act” networks, AI chips, 5G-Advanced/6G, 800G-1.2T optics, NaaS monetization. Lead sponsors: Huawei, VIAVI, ZTE.

InfoComm China 2026

April 15-17, China National Convention Center (CNCC), Olympic Green [18]. 20th anniversary edition; 400+ brands (BARCO, Hisense, Christie), 24,000+ professional visitors [19]. Asia’s leading Pro AV trade show, with an AI Tech Application Zone; conference sessions aligned to China’s 15th Five-Year Plan under the theme “Beyond Connectivity, Strategic Leap 2030” [22].

28th China Beijing International High-Tech Expo (CHITEC)

May 8-10, CNCC [20]. Theme: “Technology Leads the Way, Innovation Shares the Future”. Six exhibition zones: IT, healthcare, green/low-carbon, intelligent manufacturing, digital economy, and regional innovation. 50,000 sqm, 800+ exhibitors [21]. Highlights: immersive AI ecosystem zone, L4 RoboBus demos, 4D Gaussian Splatting, autonomous driverless tractors.


Practical Notes

Key venues. CNCC (China National Convention Center, Olympic Green) is in Chaoyang District — subway Line 8, Olympic Green station. The Zhongguancun Innovation Center is in Haidian District (Beijing’s tech corridor) on Line 4.

Language. GDEC, InfoComm China, CHITEC, and ISC.AI run bilingual Chinese/English programs. Community Over Code Asia explicitly accepts English submissions and presentations. ZGC Forum has simultaneous interpretation for major plenary sessions.

Not in Beijing. Three major China tech events are sometimes confused with Beijing events: KubeCon + CloudNativeCon China 2026 is in Shanghai (Sep 8-9) [23]; WAIC 2026 is in Shanghai (July); GAITC 2026 (Global AI Technology Conference) is in Hangzhou (May 23-24) [24]. All are reachable from Beijing by high-speed rail in 1-5 hours.
