TL;DR. In Menton proper, only one restaurant carries 2 or 3 stars in the 2026 Michelin Guide France: Mirazur (3★, Mauro Colagreco)[1]. No 2-star table exists inside Menton — the only other starred address in town is JR Bistronomie at 1★[11]. If you need a second 2★/3★ option for the weekend, drive ~15 min to Hostellerie Jérôme (La Turbie, 2★)[12] or ~20 min to Blue Bay Marcel Ravin (Monaco, 2★) and Le Louis XV (Monaco, 3★)[19].

Mirazur ★★★ Menton
Mirazur — Mauro Colagreco
What it is. A 1930s villa terraced into the hillside at the Italian border, glass-walled to the Mediterranean, with 12 acres of biodynamic and permaculture gardens supplying the kitchen[8]. The kitchen rotates dishes against the lunar calendar across four Universes — Root (Earth), Leaf (Water), Fruit (Fire), Flowers (Air) — and which menu you eat depends on the day you arrive[4].
The menu. One offering: the Universe Menu, 9 courses, €450 per person at both lunch and dinner[5]. No à la carte. Wine pairing is separate.
2026 anniversary, ⚠ time-limited. Mirazur turns 20 this year; from 1 April – 16 May 2026 Colagreco ran a co-created tasting menu with Ferran Adrià at €500 + €950 wine pairing[6]. By the time you read this (28 May 2026) the Adrià window has closed; the standard Universe Menu has resumed. Anniversary programming continues across 2026[25].
Booking discipline. Reservations require a credit card. Free cancellation up to 15 days before; inside 15 days or no-show, €450 per person is charged[9]. Book months out — the booking system explicitly opens future months in batches (e.g., September opens early May)[3].
Pedigree. No.1 in The World's 50 Best Restaurants (2019)[7]. First restaurant globally to earn Plastic Free certification (2020); first 3★ to be B Corp certified (2024)[23]. Mirazur was also among the early Michelin Green Star holders — a scheme Michelin has now retired (announced 19 May 2026), which doesn't strip the legacy but means the green clover stops appearing[24].
Nearby 2★ / 3★ within 25 minutes
If Mirazur is fully booked, or you want a second high-tier dinner for the same trip, three rooms are reachable inside half an hour. Order below: closest first.
Hostellerie Jérôme ★★ La Turbie
Chef Bruno Cirino — Rostang, Vergé, Maximin, Ducasse pedigree — runs a Mediterranean room inside the painted refectory of a 13th-century monastery annexe, frescoes and all[13]. Two Michelin stars in 2026[12]. Dinner only, Wed–Sun outside July–August; the house reopens for the 2026 season in June[14]. Pair with the Trophée d'Auguste viewpoint above the village if you arrive before service.
Blue Bay Marcel Ravin ★★ Monaco
Chef Marcel Ravin bridges Caribbean (Martinique) and Mediterranean cuisine — the signature framing is the "5 Elements Ritual" (Water, Wood, Metal, Fire, Earth)[15]. Two Michelin stars in 2026[16]. Pricing is the lowest entry point on this list: Escapades menus from €78 (5 courses) / €88 (6); the main tasting line starts around €175[17]. Use it if you want a 2★ dinner without Mirazur-tier spend.
Le Louis XV – Alain Ducasse ★★★ Monaco
The other 3★ within day-trip range, and a very different proposition: Ducasse's Riviera-classic dining room in the Hôtel de Paris, currently led by Emmanuel Pilon[18]. Three stars in 2026[19]. 2026 tasting menus: Agape €420 (5 courses + cheese), Jardin €290 (vegetarian)[20]. Where Mirazur is a hillside kitchen-garden room, Le Louis XV is the gilded-belle-époque counterpoint.
Picking which one
| Want | Pick | Why |
|---|---|---|
| The Menton bucket-list dinner | Mirazur | Only 3★ in Menton; book months ahead; €450 Universe Menu[5] |
| 2★ inside ~15 min | Hostellerie Jérôme | Closest 2★; old monastery refectory; dinner only[14] |
| 2★ without 3-figure entry price | Blue Bay Marcel Ravin | Escapades from €78 / 5 courses[17] |
| Second 3★ on the same trip | Le Louis XV | Riviera-classic Ducasse; Jardin vegetarian €290 is the value entry[20] |
Planning notes
- Mirazur booking horizon. The booking window opens future months on fixed dates (e.g., September released early May). Lead time is months, not weeks[3].
- Dress. Smart attire expected at all four rooms; Le Louis XV is the most formal of the set.
- Lunch vs dinner economics. Mirazur's Universe is the same €450 at both services[5] — lunch buys you daylight over the Italian-border view, not a discount. Hostellerie Jérôme is dinner-only[14].
- Green Star caveat. Sustainability claims you'll see in old reviews used to be flagged by Michelin's green clover; that programme ended in May 2026[24]. Mirazur's underlying credentials (Plastic Free 2020, B Corp 2024[23]) are unaffected.
- The literal answer to "2★ in Menton." None. If a 2★ in-town option appears in a future selection it will be JR Bistronomie moving up — currently at 1★[11].
