TL;DR — Decision. Stay at Victor’s Residenz-Hotel Schloss Berg — the restaurant is inside the same complex, the dining FAQ recommends it and will book it for you, and it’s the only property at zero walking distance [2]. If it’s sold out or over-budget, Hotel Zur Traube (Bübinger Str. 22) is the realistic fallback at ~11 min on foot, €99–244/night [7][9]. For self-catered stays, Wieser Gästehaus in the Wies district covers the 4–5 star Ferienwohnung niche [11].

Geography

The restaurant sits at Schloßstraße 27–29, 66706 Perl-Nennig [1]. Nennig is a small Mosel-river village; the village core is compact enough that anywhere on Bübinger Straße or Wieser Straße is reachable from the castle in under 15 minutes on foot [10]. Anything in Perl town centre (the next municipality south) is 4–5 km — taxi territory, not walking.

Detail

Victor’s Residenz-Hotel Schloss Berg — pick this if it’s available

Two-building 5★ Superior complex: a Roman-style villa (most of the 87 rooms) and a Renaissance castle (where Christian Bau cooks). The restaurant FAQ states plainly that they will book your room for you [2], which is the easy path: one reservation covers dinner + bed and avoids any post-pairing walk. Room types span Classic / Superior / Deluxe / Junior, Classic, Imperial, Roman suites in the villa, and Princess / Prince / Queen Junior / Empress Classic in the castle [3]. Spa with indoor pool, sauna, steam bath, hot tub, gym; second restaurant Bacchus and beer-garden style Landgasthaus on-site [5]. Listed in the Michelin Guide hotels section [6] and on the Saarschleifenland tourism board [17]. ⚠ Note creative-break closures of the fine-dining room are scheduled May 18 – Jun 7, 2026 and Sep 21 – Oct 4, 2026 — check dates before booking.

Hotel Zur Traube — best fallback

3-star inn at Bübinger Straße 22, 21 rooms / 42 beds, owner Carlo Boesen [8]. Premium 42 m² doubles in Landhaus-Stil with kitchenettes and balconies; standard singles from €99, doubles from €129; high-season standard rate range $179–$244 per Tripadvisor data [7][9]. Tripadvisor places the walk at ~11 min [7]; breakfast and the regional-cuisine restaurant get generally positive notes, with one recurring complaint about slow front-desk handling. Phone +49 6866 349.

Wieser Gästehaus — for a self-catered weekend

Small family-run guesthouse at Wieser Str. 14 in Nennig’s historic Wies district, converted from an old farm barn into 4- and 5-star Ferienwohnungen [11][12]. The 2017 Verkehrsverein gastgeber list quoted €50/night for a 2-person apartment plus €10 per extra adult [13] — rates almost certainly higher in 2026, contact for current pricing. Phone 06866 274. Right scale if you want a private kitchen for the morning after.

Gästeappartements Lisa / KMK Monteure — budget floor, mention only

At Bübinger Straße 13, 3 apartments holding 4–7 guests each with kitchenette, washer/dryer, TV-Sat, DSL [14]. Pricing is per-person and contractor-oriented (from €16.75/night/person for 8-person, multi-month blocks plus VAT) [15]. Walking distance to the restaurant is fine, but the property is positioned for tradespeople on long stays — not the right ambience for a Michelin Saturday. Listed here only because it’s the budget reference point in the village.

What’s not walking distance

Hotel Sonnenhof, Hotel Hammes, Haus & Hof Guest House, and Hotel Perler Hof all sit in Perl town centre, ~4–5 km south of the restaurant [15]. Good options on their own merits but require a car or taxi after dinner — Tripadvisor’s own guidance for the Schloss Berg area is to plan for a taxi rather than walk with luggage [7]. Across the Mosel in Remich (Luxembourg) is also non-walking — the nearest bridge crossings add real distance.

Booking sequence

  1. Book the dinner at Victor’s Fine Dining first [16].
  2. Ask the restaurant to book a Schloss Berg room with the reservation [2]. Or book directly via the hotel’s own site or Booking.com [18].
  3. If Schloss Berg is full, contact Hotel Zur Traube at +49 6866 349 [8], then Wieser Gästehaus at 06866 274 [12].
