— Channels —
  • Ticketmaster.be — primary platform, 142 events listed for 2026–27. Default starting point.[63]
  • Live Nation Belgium — promoter for J. Cole, NE-YO & AKON, Capitole listings. Often the presale path.[65]
  • Greenhouse Talent — Ghent-based promoter; Jason Derulo (Feb), Avatar (Mar). Local agency for comedy + concerts.[64]
  • Direct venue box office — Opera Gent: Tue–Sat 14:00–18:00 + 75 min before showtime. Same-week opera booking is realistic.[69]
  • ⚠ Viagogo / secondary — Belgium's 2013 law bans habitual resale and resale above face value. Euroconsumers flagged DSA breaches and false-scarcity 10-min timers. Risk of invalid tickets at the door.[71][72]
  • Lead times — arena tours 6–12 months out · West End musicals 2–12 months ahead, some into 2027 · opera same-week realistic at the Opera Gent desk · local theatre often day-of.[70]

Practical Reminders

  • Brussels-Midi is the central hub: Ghent → Brussels → London / Paris / Amsterdam / Cologne all start with the same 30-min IC.[62]
  • Opera Ballet Vlaanderen has no dress code and €10 last-minute tickets for under-25s — useful for a spontaneous Capitole night.[68]
  • Tomorrowland is sold out — secondary listings are legally risky in Belgium.[71]
  • Klarafestival (Mar 20–29) and MJ The Musical (closed Feb 28) already passed the April-29 cutoff.[22][53]
  • Sportpaleis Antwerp now operates as AFAS Dome; ING Arena Brussels is the Heysel-plateau arena formerly known as Palais 12.[73][74]
