Barcelona Weekend Ops Brief

June 2026 · 25–28 °C · sunset 21:25 · three strands, one critical path

Book these three simultaneously — one 20-minute session unlocks the weekend

🍽 Michelin Dinner Disfrutar: 12 months out · ABaC: 4–6 wks
🏛 Sagrada Família Days-to-weeks ahead · no box office
🌿 Park Güell 2–3 weeks out · timed entry, 30 min window

The restaurant reservation is the planning horizon. Once it's confirmed, book the Gaudí timed entries in the same session. Wine pairings add €140–180/person on top of any menu price[22] — budget that separately. Park Güell prices rose ~80% in 2026 (now €18) — not yet reflected in most travel guides.[3]

Jun 16–21

DevBcn + Sónar+D + Michelin dinner

The only week in 2026 where a developer conference and a creative-tech festival run back-to-back in central Barcelona. Slot the Michelin dinner on the evening of June 17 (after DevBcn day 2) and the full week does double duty.

TECH DevBcn — Java / AI / Cloud / DevOps Jun 16–17 · World Trade Center, Port Vell TECH Sónar+D — creative tech, AI art, XR Jun 18–20 · Llotja de Mar, El Born FOOD Michelin dinner — Eixample/El Born walking distance from both venues Jun 17 or 18 evening

The anchor

Nine Michelin 2★–3★ options in 2026. The sharpest question: whether a 3-star (plan 3+ months out) or one of the three new 2026 2-stars — Mont Bar or Aleia, bookable in weeks — makes more sense when planning flexibility matters.

Mont Bar (new 2★) is the itinerary-compatible pick: Eixample, walkable from El Born, no dress code, €190–240.

Daylight hours

June's 10 hours of sun and 21:25 sunset mean you can front-load Gaudí in the morning and still have two full evening windows. The Sagrada Família completed its 172.5 m height on 20 Feb 2026 — now the world's tallest church.[20]

Free highlights: Bunkers del Carmel (360° view, closes 19:30), Magic Fountain (Wed–Sun 21:30, free), Parc de la Ciutadella.

Conference windows

Barcelona runs Europe's densest tech conference calendar. MWC (March, 105k+) is the megashow; the actionable near-term windows are DevBcn (Jun 16–17) and Sónar+D (Jun 18–20), then EuroRust (Oct) and Smart City Expo (Nov).
