  • Closed Jinsha Site Museum — shut through April 2027 for upgrades.[8] Substitute: Chengdu Museum (free, same ancient-Shu scope).[10]
  • Closed Dujiangyan Panda Volunteer Base — closed from April 23, 2026 for upgrades.[9] Dujiangyan irrigation site and Mt Qingcheng remain open — only the panda programme is off.

Getting around

Metro QR via Alipay. DiDi (ride-share) runs as an English mini-program inside WeChat — no separate app needed.

Shuangliu (CTU) is ~16 km; Tianfu (TFU) is ~50–60 km — express metro 33 min to South Railway Station (hourly, 6 AM–11 PM).

Best time to visit

April and October (15–22 °C, active pandas). Avoid Golden Week Oct 1–7 — in 2026, Mid-Autumn Sep 25–27 precedes it, doubling crowds.
