Decision For KL's pinnacle, Dewakan (Malaysia's only 2★, RM870/pp) is unambiguous — book at least a month out.[4] For a strong Saturday-evening alternative: Beta KL (RM550–630++) delivers the most accessible modern-Malaysian storytelling, and Molina (from RM688) offers the sharpest European-Asian contrast. Three of the seven KL stars cluster in TTDI — useful if you want a neighbourhood crawl.[1]

The MICHELIN Guide Kuala Lumpur & Penang 2026 covers 9 starred restaurants across Malaysia; all 7 in KL are listed here.[1] Two restaurants — Akar and Terra Dining — are new additions for 2026, both from TTDI and both rooted in modern Malaysian cuisine.[2]

Dewakan

Chef Darren Teoh  ·  Modern Malaysian  ·  Level 48, Skyviews, Naza Tower, Platinum Park, No. 10 Persiaran KLCC

Malaysia's only two-star restaurant — and its first.[3] Named from dewa (god) + makan (eat), Dewakan serves a 12-course tasting menu built entirely on Malaysian-sourced ingredients — fermented, dry-aged, or foraged in-house. Even the dinnerware is made by local artists. Service takes place 48 floors above KL; the skyline views match the ambition of the food.[4] The restaurant also holds Malaysia's only MICHELIN Green Star, awarded for sustainability practices.[3]
