Before 09:30
Reclining Buddha sheltered inside a limestone cave — 20 THB entry. Arrive before the tour coaches hit the car park. The cool air and the quiet are worth the early start.[14]

Phang Nga Town
The province's market town, 30 min from Natai. Morning coffee and local noodles, unhurried. A counterpoint to the hyper-composed evening ahead.
Afternoon

Morning
30–45 min north of Natai. Nang Thong is the long swimming beach (~3 km). Bang Niang / Coconut Beach is quieter — pine-shaded and low-key.[15]
Khao Lak beach, Phang Nga province
30-min detour
A patrol vessel carried 2 km inland by the 2004 tsunami. Now a sober park in Bang Niang. Worth the stop before heading south.[16]
Afternoon
Phuket Airport (HKT)
Allow 30–35 min from Natai Beach. All hotels offer transfers.

🛶
John Gray's Sea Canoe flagship: 10-hour expedition into the hidden limestone hongs of Phang Nga Bay. Ends after dark with bioluminescent plankton inside enclosed lagoons. ~THB 3,490–3,950 pp. Too long to pair with the 18:30 Aulis seating — schedule on Thursday (if you arrive Wednesday) or save it for a Sunday extension with a Monday departure.[13]

🌊
Cheow Lan Lake, ~1 h by minivan from Khao Lak. Floating bungalows from $80/night inside 165 km² of emerald reservoir ringed by 900 m karst spires. Dawn/dusk boat safaris: gibbons, hornbills, langurs. Worth an overnight if the trip extends to three or four nights.[17]
🤿
Both marine parks open mid-Oct to mid-May only.[21] 1.5–2 h speedboat from Thap Lamu pier; full-day commitment. Schedule as a dedicated pre- or post-Aulis day — not a same-day pairing. Peak dive visibility January–April. Richelieu Rock (whale sharks) and Koh Bon (mantas) require a liveaboard.
