Flagship Conferences
AIM – Artificial Intelligence Marseille[1]
Marseille's biggest tech event, now in its 4th edition. AIM fills the Vélodrome stadium for a deliberately immersive format: keynotes are delivered from the pitch itself. Theme for 2026: "THE BIG SHIFT — The Great Acceleration", addressing AI's economic and geopolitical implications — chip races, data sovereignty, energy costs of compute. Organised by La Tribune, BFM TV, and CMA CGM Media; the 2025 edition drew 100+ speakers and 500+ structured business meetings.[1] Tickets: aim.vimeet.events/fr/tickets.[11]
AccesSecurity[10]
Euro-Mediterranean cybersecurity and physical-security trade show held at Marseille's main exhibition complex. Covers electronic security, network/cyber defence, and telco infrastructure. 100% business format: exhibitor pitches, B2B buyer roundtables, masterclasses, and innovation trophies. For 2026, the event is integrating into the SEPEM Industrie framework; confirm dates with organiser Safim (contact@safim.com, +33 4 91 76 16 00) before travel planning.[10]
Community Gatherings
Le Grand Bain — 8th edition[2]
La French Tech Aix-Marseille's flagship annual gathering, staged at the Palais du Pharo with panoramic views over the Vieux-Port. Each edition questions tech's broader societal impact — AI ethics, digital inclusion, sustainable innovation. Past editions have featured roundtables with city leadership and startup showcases. The 7th edition drew 1,800+ participants across the startup ecosystem, banks, and training organisations.[2]
DevFest Marseille 2026: Workshop Edition[9]
Part of the global DevFest network[12] of community-run Google Developer Group events. The 2026 Marseille edition is a focused "Workshop Edition" — an evening of hands-on coding, structured to simultaneously launch the newly independent GDG Marseille chapter (previously operating as GDG Aix-Marseille).[9] Expect a smaller, high-participation format rather than a full-day conference.
Developer Meetups
MarsJUG — Marseille Java User Group[8]
Founded in 2009, MarsJUG is one of France's established JUG chapters[13] — monthly evening talks on the JVM ecosystem (Java, Kotlin, tooling). Next session: June 16, 2026 — "Le petit guide illustré des garbage collectors de Java" with Rémi Forax.[8]
GDG Marseille[6]
Google Developer Group for the Marseille metro area. Upcoming: June 9, 2026 — "Projet au délai impossible : comment l'IA nous a permis de livrer" — a technical case study on using AI to rescue an e-commerce project under impossible deadline pressure, with live demo.[14]
Aix-Marseille AWS User Group[18]
Evening meetups on AWS technologies and news, held at La Briqueterie in Marseille. The group's tagline — "The sun! The south! Aperitifs! and a touch of AWS" — captures the tone. Recent sessions covered ROSA Openshift, AI, and DevSecOps. Check their Meetup page for the next 2026 session dates.[18]
Marseille Tech Mixer & Social[3]
Weekly afterwork for Marseille's tech workers — devs, data scientists, product managers, students, and career changers. Casual format: drinks at the bar, no agenda, no speakers. Best entry point for a visitor who wants to plug into the local scene without committing to a full event day.[3]
Deep Tech & Specialized
Conférence Deeptech Quantique[5]
Full-day event organised by AKTANTIS bridging academic researchers and industry on quantum technology. Sessions cover quantum computing, quantum sensors, post-quantum cryptography (with NIST-mandated algorithm transitions by 2030), and regional investment ecosystems (QuantA, QuantAzur).[5] Speakers include Olivier Ezratty (Quantum Energy Initiative), Sébastien Tanzilli (CNRS), and representatives from Thales DIS and QUOBLY. Afternoon B2B meetings included. Register free: b2match.com/e/conference-deeptech-quantique-2026.[15]
Tour de France – Guide Datacenter (Étape Marseille)[7]
The 3rd leg of InfraNum's national tour presenting the 2026 Guide Datacenter and enterprise proximity-DC benchmarks. Roundtable on proximity datacenter development challenges, followed by a networking cocktail. Targets IT decision-makers, digital infrastructure operators, and territorial authorities.[7]
Hackathon Code4Sud × smsmode[4]
Half-day hackathon focused on mobile messaging and RCS (Rich Communication Services) innovation, co-organised by French Tech Aix-Marseille and smsmode. Part of the French Tech June programme alongside the FDTour investor-startup matchmaking day (Jun 4).[4]
