Hostellerie de la Reine-Jeanne
Medieval village, Les Baux
~12 min
Village inn · restaurant
Budget · best-value pick inside the village
4.0 / 5 · 123 reviews
4 rooms above the restaurant at 4 Rue Porte Mages, inside the car-free medieval village. Panoramic terrace overlooking the Val d'Enfer. Walk to L'Oustau is downhill; the return after a long tasting menu is uphill in the dark — the cliff paths and approach roads are not strongly lit.
⚠ No air-conditioning · Rooms above restaurant — noise on busy evenings

100-hectare estate on the western side of Les Baux — 18-hole golf course, spa, large outdoor pool. Hosts its own Michelin-starred restaurant: Aupiho (Lieven Van Aken, 1★), making it a two-Michelin-meal weekend if you pair Friday dinner here with Saturday at L'Oustau. ~1.6 km from the village centre, partly along the road to L'Oustau. At the outer edge of plausible walking distance — plan a 5-minute taxi or hotel transfer for dinner night.

4★ country house ★★★★

4.5 / 5 · 710 reviews — a genuinely lovely hotel
Beautiful 4★ restored mas on 1800 Route d'Arles (D78F) — the same road that fronts Baumanière, map distance ~1.4 km. The trap: the D78F stretch between Benvengudo and L'Oustau has no pedestrian footpath. Guests are explicit about it.
⚠ "Would not stay here again without our own transportation." — recent guests.
Do not book this property on the assumption you can walk to L'Oustau for dinner.
