TL;DR. Inside the 30 km circle, the only venue that programs anything resembling an IT conference is Fondazione DIG421 in Roreto di Cherasco (~22 km) — Thursday-evening talks on AI, robotics, additive manufacturing, geopolitics of tech [7]. Alba (~10 km) and Pollenzo/Bra (~15 km) host adjacent things — the Connessioni AI series [11], Circonomia [14], UNISG food-tech events [15] — but these are pop-science / festival format, not developer events. For a real IT conference you must drive ~70 km to Torino: Wave by Vento (formerly Italian Tech Week) runs 7–9 Oct 2026 at OGR [20] — outside the requested radius, but the only serious tech option within ~1 h drive.

What’s actually within 30 km

La Rei Natura sits inside Il Boscareto Resort, Via Roddino 21, Serralunga d’Alba (CN) [1][2]. The 30 km radius covers all of the Langhe and most of the Roero — rural, wine-country territory. Reference distances by road:

Place Road km In 30 km? Source
Alba 11 [6]
Bra / Pollenzo 24 [3]
Roreto di Cherasco 23 [4]
Asti 37 [6]
Cuneo (city) 62 [5]
Torino ~70

Confindustria Cuneo’s Stati Generali del Digitale (21 May 2026) [21] and the broader Cuneo-city tech ecosystem fall just outside — useful to know if you have a car and slack time.

Still upcoming in 2026 (in-radius)

Today is 31 May 2026, so the Connessioni / Circonomia / Telebenessere spring run has already happened. The events you can still attend without leaving the 30 km circle:

  • 10–12 Jun 2026 — Migranti Film Festival, UNISG Pollenzo. Food, migration, conferences and meetings; the most international event in the radius this June [15].
  • 29 Jun – 2 Jul 2026 — UNISG Summer School The Art of Fermentation (English). Closer to food-science than IT, but the cleanest technical curriculum on offer locally [16].
  • Thu 14 Sep 2026, 17:30–19:45Additive Manufacturing: potenzialità e ultime novità at DIG421, Roreto di Cherasco. Speakers from CIM4.0, Roboze, Confindustria Cuneo. Free with registration [10].
  • Thu evenings, Sep–Dec 2026 — DIG421’s H2 cycle. Programme not yet published; H1 cadence was one talk roughly every 2–3 weeks [7]. Watch dig421.org and the foundation’s Instagram for new dates.
  • 11 Oct – 8 Dec 2026 — Fiera Tartufo Bianco d’Alba. Weekend cultural programming with a Sostenibilità Incrociate talk arm; 2026 line-up will land closer to October [18][19].
  • Autumn 2026 (TBA) — Profondo Umano main festival in Alba. Past editions ran Aug–Dec with a mix of conferences and performances; with 2026’s Specchi digitali theme, expect more AI content than usual [13].

Out-of-radius but worth flagging

Event Where When Why mention
Wave by Vento (ex–Italian Tech Week) OGR Torino (~70 km) 7–9 Oct 2026 The only real tech conference within ~1 h of Serralunga. Speakers announced include Dario Amodei, Jony Ive, John Elkann; first paid edition. [20] [22]
Stati Generali del Digitale — Confindustria Cuneo Sala Michele Ferrero, Cuneo city (~62 km) 21 May 2026 (past) Industry-format event on AI, climate, demographics. Annual; next edition likely spring 2027. [21]

Practical notes

  • No developer meetups inside the radius. The Piedmont developer scene (GDG Torino, Codemotion AperiTech, .NET Torino) is all Torino-based; nothing comparable exists in Alba, Bra, or Cherasco.
  • DIG421 is the highest-signal tech venue in range. Its Cherasco campus was purpose-built as an “open-innovation gate” by Tesisquare; it programs both popular-audience (Aresu, Bottero) and industrial-audience (additive manufacturing, Industry 4.0) evenings.
  • If “tech event” stretches to AI as a cultural topic, 2026 is unusually strong: Alba’s whole spring–autumn arc — Connessioni, Profondo Umano, Sostenibilità Incrociate — is themed on AI and digital transformation.
  • Pollenzo’s Food Tech for Ecological Transition degree (UNISG + Politecnico di Torino, English-taught, from Oct 2026) is the only structured technical curriculum inside the radius — worth a campus visit if food-tech is the interest.
