Atlas / London Weekend / Tech Calendar Issued 29 May 2026 · No. 108

London tech & the May–June window

Every major London IT conference in late spring 2026, pinned to its weekday so the weekend reads at a glance. One event spans Saturday and Sunday. One stretch of five weekdays sucks everything else into its orbit. The rest is fringe and decision.

§ I.a · Stack day · Wed Jun 10

Four flagships, three venues, one Wednesday.

The single densest day of the cluster. LTW's expo closes the same day the AI Summit and Hardware Pioneers open; the LTW Hackathon runs in parallel at the ICC. Pick one venue and commit — Olympia (W14), Tobacco Dock (Wapping) and ExCeL (Royal Docks) are 45+ minutes apart by Elizabeth line.

§ V · Heuristics for picking Four rules surfaced by the calendar

The rules the grid makes obvious.

i.
Weekend overlap beats prestige.
PyData (Sat–Sun) beats London Tech Week (Mon–Fri) on this single axis, even though LTW is ~10× larger [1][2].
ii.
Free fringe > paid expo.
If you don't need badges or 1:1 meetings, the LTW fringe is the cheapest way to brush against the Microsoft / AWS / Anthropic crowd [15][21].
iii.
Bookend the dinner.
A Saturday Michelin booking pairs cleanly with PyData Saturday afternoon (Convene Sancroft is EC4M, walkable to most central restaurants) or a Sunday brunch + Big Data LDN Monday opener.
iv.
Venue distance is real.
ExCeL (Hardware Pioneers, Infosecurity) is in the Royal Docks — 40–50 min on the Elizabeth line from central. Olympia (LTW expo, Big Data LDN) is W14, ~25 min. Tobacco Dock (AI Summit) is Wapping, 15–20 min. Plan the dinner table accordingly.
