Sunday Manderscheid's twin castles on the Lieser river — the Oberburg free, the Niederburg open daily 11:00-17:00 April-November [19]. Optionally bend east to Traben-Trarbach for the Bruno Möhring Jugendstil and the Underworld cellar tour [18].

Saturday Drive the 25 km up to Daun and walk the Dronke Tower loop above Weinfelder Maar — a 5.3 km easy ramble of ~1h32, then climb the 43 steps of the Dronketurm for the panorama of all three Daun Maare [22]. Return for dinner — the route is short enough to allow it.
Sunday The Burgenklettersteig Manderscheid: 4.6 km of via ferrata, three stages A-D, a 60 m rope bridge — the only via ferrata in Rheinland-Pfalz [20]. Equipment rents at the Kurhaus Tourist-Information. Cycling alternative: the asphalted Maare-Mosel-Radweg, ~58 km on a former railway line down to Bernkastel [23].

The canonical's walking-distance lodging child failed (run.sh exit 1), and four numbers depend on a phone call that was never made: tasting-menu vs à-la-carte pricing under Clemens Rambichler, wine-pairing cost, the actual meal length to use as the Saturday time anchor, and the dress code.

Also unconfirmed: whether the room booking forces the dinner reservation, or vice-versa. The Michelin entry [3] and the property's reservations line are the next call to make before any date is locked.
