The Brief

Geography, not gastronomy, is the load-bearing fact.

The postal address reads 1 rue de Remich, Moutfort, but the dining room is at the Éitermillen mill — a country lane outside the village, climbing 141 m in the dark [3]. And the village itself, per every major hotel inventory, contains no hotels, B&Bs, or guesthouses [4].

The "walking distance after dinner" constraint, then, forces a binary: an apartment rental in Moutfort or Oetrange [5], or accept a taxi. There is no third option. Once the taxi is accepted, the 30 km circle opens — and three coherent weekends fall out, each anchored on the same Saturday-evening table.

Base in Luxembourg City's Old Town. By day, the Chemin de la Corniche — Batty Weber's "most beautiful balcony of Europe" [19] — then the Bock Casemates, 23 km of tunnels carved into the promontory [18]. Taxi at 19:00 (€30–40), back near midnight.

Luxembourg's only natural-thermal spa. Twelve minutes by cab to MLS.

Mondorf Parc Hôtel, 4★ superior with 108 rooms set in a 45-ha park [13], opens onto a 36 °C mineral pool, 11 saunas and three hammams [14]. The single cleanest overlap of lodging and day-trip — your "activity" and your bed share an address. Saturday afternoon at the thermal pool, robe to room, dressed for dinner, 12 minutes by taxi to the mill.
