Forty-eight hours in a village of two hundred souls — built around one Saturday-night
tasting at chef Sang Hoon Degeimbre's
L'Air du Temps, walked back to a farmhouse room. Everything
else — the citadel, the abbey, the millennial oak — orbits the
curtain time.

"The dinner's gravity collapses every other choice. No driving home after the
pairings. No skipping the morning start. Liernu has no bus. So either the
farmstead has a room, or the room is walking distance — and there are exactly
three of those, sixteen keys total."

02 · The 30 km Circle
Everything orbits one farmstead.
Drive times back to Liernu from each pin, so the curtain time at 19:30 is never

03 · Three Days, One Dinner

04 · The Three Walking-Distance Rooms
Sixteen keys in the gravitational well.
The pairings rule out the car. These are the only beds inside a 2 km walk of the

05 · Inside the Circle
Twelve detours that finish by 17:30.
Each option drops you back at the farmstead before the aperitif. Mileage and
opening windows tuned to a Saturday in 2026 — many of these close 27 Sept (the
end of high season) and reopen for Easter.
One Saturday in 2026 turns this trip into a tech conference excuse.
The KIKK Festival runs Wed 21 → Sun 25 October in
central Namur — digital art trail of ~60 installations, professional conferences,
a market, kids' workshops on gaming, sound and robotics
[41].
Saturday the 24th is the pivot day — a 30-minute drive to Liernu lands you in
time for 19:30.
Mar 27–29 — Hack the Narrative, CSLabs hackathon at UNamur (the only other Saturday-spanning tech event inside the radius) [44]
Jan 31 – Feb 1 — FOSDEM, Brussels — ~45 km, just outside the circle, the one "stretch" date
Caveat — by 24 Oct the citadel téléphérique is closed (27 Sep cutoff [20]); the underground tour stays open and Annevoie runs to 11 Nov.
07 · Before You Book
Five phone calls, in order.
The first call decides everything else. The price the menu, the lead time, the
room availability, the dress code — confirm them at the source before you commit
to anything downstream.
